After making the semi-final last year, none of the more fancied Sydney sides where taking the Owls lightly, firstly we played and defeating North Sydney 1 and 2 teams, from this, the Owls where successful in making the top 16 Cup rounds, unfortunately the lads faced a very experienced (and eventual winners) West Harbour outfit going down 27-12.  This last weekend, two teams traveled to Cowra to play in their annual ten's Carnival. Again the 1 team made top 8 to contest the Cup knockout section. This time the lads found the eventual winners again in the first round going down 17-7 to East Sydney. The Colts team, with a few old experienced heads included (sorry Rube's and Eroni) made the final of the Plate competition, going down to Bondi in the GF. Some very exciting young players have come into the club this season and again the future looks bright for a great year for the Owls.

This weekend the lads travel to the Queanbeyan 7's to defend our trophy from last year. Good luck boys
