Our heritage
The UNI-NORTHS OWLS Rugby Club is the result of two happy mergers – the first between the rugby clubs of the Australian National University and the University of Canberra, and the second, a joining of the combined varsity club and Norths Rugby. With the most senior teams of clubs in the region, and a rapidly expanding junior arm, we are the university and inner-north rugby club of the ACT.

Plans for this season and beyond
2008 sees the Senior Owls implementing a long-term plan to improve on-field performance. The Owls’ R&R Team - Dave Purser, Jerome, Russ and Plugga - have embarked on our most ambitious and exciting recruitment and development strategy, ever.  Our “Elite Squad”, including ‘marquee’ players from Australia and overseas, have been training intensively since September, with evident improvements in physical preparedness. We also have plans in place to invigorate our renowned, social and inclusive culture, ensuring strong support for all grades and types of rugby player.

What can we deliver?
Friends of the Owls’ functions and communiqués will present you immediate access to quality under/graduate employee prospects, and fantastic business networking opportunities with local corporate, government, and academic high-flyers. As per your individual wishes, the Owls may also develop broad advertising exposure for your business; provide inter/national contacts in the sporting, business, or academic arenas; or even manage hospitality/functions on your behalf.
